Oops. Forgot to mention the 61st Cannes Film Festival that happened recently. As in from the 14th until err just a few days ago. HAHA
Here are just some outfits that I thought looked nice.
I didnt feel like bombarding the blog with more pictures so I guess this will do :)

May 15th for the Kungfu Panda Movie: Mommy of soon-to-be-6 kids, the gorgeous Angelina Jolie. Looking very pregnant indeed. Gosh, she’s gloooowing.
May 14th: Mischa Barton in a divineee dress that looks really similar to the dress in Romi’s collection of 12 in the last season of Project Runway.
May 14th again: And Natalie Portman looking pretty in purple.
I would’ve included Cate Blanchett but I dont know, I thought she looked nice but oh well. I didnt put her up here. Kudos to her for looking so fabolous after just having a baby though! She still looks trim and amazing.

Next time, we should have parties with more formal wear. Hahahaaha guys looking all smart and handsome, girls all dolled up in adorable dresses. Hmm.. birthday party idea coming up here.

Ooh and one more thing,

Congratulations to the U15 Fobissea Team of ISB. :)
(who just came back from Taipei on wednesday.)
I hear from the guys that the boys got 2nd in basketball, and girls and boys got 4th in football. And a whole load of other medals in Athletics and Swimming.
Great job to all of you!

P.S. If you want to see the results, look online. Hahahaha. Or ask the fobissea crew yourself :D

I miss playing Sims. Sims is one of the most addictive games. It takes a while to build and put furniture in your own house (if you want to do it well) and some of the sims are just so demanding. Especially in Sims 2 with their aspirations. Like Job aspiration where you want to be smart and have the top job or Love aspiration where you just want to ‘WoooHoo’ with everyone and anyone you see so you can have a new ‘record’ of how many people your sim shags with. Hmm lovely. HAHA I love the Sims! I’d just stick to the normal Sims 2 instead of all the other ones but maybe, I want to try the other ones cause the other ones sound kind of cool. HAHA there’s a Sims 2 IKEA Home Stuff. Sims 2 Seasons, University and Open For Business sound cool. I’m really tempted to get them now.

But having the short attention span that I have, I get bored when my Sims have all of their stars in order. Hmm.. what other games are there? I remember there was this game called Granny’s Garden back in primary. HAHA I remember finding it so hard to win, then during the lobbying day in BGIC, all the ISB people were playing it. Shit I didnt even realise they’d watch me play. HAHA going back to our childhood days. (haha ew) I swear, the witch who gets you when you lose is still the scariest thing. So I play without sound effects. HAHA means I cant hear the witch laughing.

Ooh I’m just gonna upload some weird pictures of Ann’s, Arthur’s, Will’s and my eye with the whole fisheye effect on my camera.

1st: Mine
2nd: Ann’s profile
3rd: Ann front on
4th: Will’s pretty girrrrrrrl eyes
5th: Arthur’s

Holy Moley, they look creepy.

AARRRRGGGHH I’m streesssingg OUTTT. Why oh why didnt I start studying bio earlier.
Byebye.

So there’s this designer called Jane Mayle and I’ve seen a few of her pieces before and I thought they were nice. Bits and pieces from the Spring 08 and Resort 07 collections. The Fall 07 collection wasnt really accesible. Its just better to look at than to wear. I saw a picture of Vanessa Carlton in a Mayle creation in the May issue of Teen Vogue with Ellen Page gracing its cover. Anyhoots, here are a few pieces that I liked,

These two up there are nice at the front at the back, they look a little simple but I still think they’re nice, the one here could be paired with gladiator sandals. I reckon that’d look great.
And this one was the one that was in TeenVogue, the one that Vanessa Carlton wore. She paired it with a thin brown leather belt. She looked really cute.

Just to fill up the blog. I heard monday’s a holiday. But exams are still on. That is just gay.
I’m out! x

One more week and a bit of exams left! Year13 prom in a week and ours in 2. Jon’s in Singapore already so gonna get the girls out to catch up :) Jon’s already bought me the three Twilight books: Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse so that I have my own copies. Thank you baby! :D

I went out yesterday with Jon and we watched Narnia (again) cause Jon hadn’t watched it yet, but I guess I didnt mind. BEN BARNES IS IN IT, THATS WHY! <3> Hahaha jon and I were feeling rather bored so we went to play some Mario (hahaha goodgod) and I kicked jon’s ass. Woooooo. And he was the one who said he was gonna do some ass-whooping. Pffft. So many ISB people walking around. I really do have to get onto my studying. I should do more.

Anyway, I wonder why there’s so many reality tv shows nowadays. Like, just some random ones about celebrities and their daily lives. I mean, I get the fact that maybe they want people to see how they really are so they cant just make any judgements and assumptions without seeing how they really are. These kinda shows include Living Lohan, Keeping Up with the Kardashians and Kimora Life in the Fab Lane. Kimora and the Kardashians are better than the Lohans but I dont really see why you want to have a camera crew follow you around 24/7. I mean, where’s the privacy? Isn’t it weird like brushing your teeth or something with a camera in your face?

And other shows like American Idol, which I still love. Then there’s America’s Next Top Model. Thats kinda lost its flavour, its just dragging on and on but I guess its okay. Project Runway’s great. Then there’s all these America’s ______ and American _______. I’m sure there’s loads of shows that dont make it big. I still love shows like Ugly Betty, Friends, Gossip Girl and etc. I dont really keep up with shows like One Tree Hill and The OC but I might in the summer break. If I’m gonna be stuck in Brunei some of the time. And maybe Las Vegas since people have been saying its brilliant. HAHA like Javon back in New Years, and Arthur and Jan.
Wow this post is random. I feel so blank nowadays! So yeah. I’m done. HAHA.

May 23, 2008

I havent been blogging in ages! Busy busy. Just had History Paper 2 and our science pracs on Thursday. Pracs were great. History was far from. Economics Paper 6 on Tuesday was plain annoying. The questions were just so ambiguous. I’m really not looking forward to the week after the midterm. All my hardest papers crammed into one week. Shit.

So I watched Narnia on Tuesday. And it was good. There were just some bits that were just SO weird that it was really funny. Like the whole poseidon thing at the end? Poseidon popping out of the river and eating up the Lord/Captain thing? HAHAHA that was just hilarious. But one thing that you cannot cannot miss:

the guy talent in the movie. I mean have you LOOKED at Prince Caspian? I knew he’d be hot anyway before I even saw the movie or the trailer. I just saw the poster at the mall (harhar) and I was like.. Mmm.. he’s a one to watch out for. And when I watched the movie, I was not only not let down, I was amazed. He is damn fucking gorgeousssssss! Even Mrs C was like ‘he’s quite cute isnt he.’ and I was like ‘NOT JUST CUTE MRS C!’. I see I have a new #1 on my top 10 hottest guys list.

Turns out he’s not italian. You know, with the whole accent. HE’S ENGLISH! His name is Ben Barnes and he’s 27 in August. His birthday’s 9 days before mine ;) HAHAHAHA. He played a role in Stardust, and made it big with Narnia. He’s meant to be in the third movie of Narnia as well. Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. So sad that I have to wait until 2010 to watch it :( 6″ of pure hotness and its too bad that I have to share him with Jean. She’s got his head and his feet, I get his body. HAHA. Damn you Susan, how come you get to kiss Prince Caspian! :@ Him and his gorgeous hair and sexy everything. Not every guy can pull off hair like that. On him? *swoon* Drop. Dead. Gorgeous.

Narnia is definitely movie I’d like to watch again.
I cant wait to watch Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull this weekend. :)

Anyhoots, midterm break is on. Thank fucking god. Jon’s going to Singapore and leaving me here. I wish he’d take me so I can go shopping. I’m still stuck in Brunei with my history, science and economics notes. :(

dare you to move

May 19, 2008

I can’t wait for June. May’s just been a drag. And it still is a drag.
The only things that were and will be fun in May are the midterm break and the day of our 17months with Jon thats just passed. I was glad that I had few hours to spend with Jon that day. Haven’t spent time with him in ages, so it was really good to see him. :)

So what is there in June.
1. End of exams!
2. Our prom/Soiree Enchantee.
3. The Year13/Jon’s prom.
4. Jon’s 18th Birthday and our 1 year 6 months. :)
5. No more school, no more classes, no more work.
6. Sheng’s 16th Birthday
7. A possible football and netball tournament at JIS for the U15 girls. which I’m still young enough for! :D
8. Time to catch up on all the movies
9. And time to hang out with everyone, especially some people before they leave. :(
10. PARTYING! wooooo

Thats why I cant wait for June. :D

time travel!

May 18, 2008

Right now, I’m soooooooo regretting that I bought my dress instead of not getting it made. I mean, well for the Year13/Jon’s prom at Empire I mean. I’ve already got a dress for our prom anyway. I would’ve loved to make a dress like one of these:

Karlie looks gorrrgeous in this.
These two are by Jason Wu from the Fall 08 Collection.
This one is Valentino. I love the ruffles at the back. If I were to make a dress like this, I might not make it this colour. Maybe a pale lilac, or maybe this. HAHA.
what else do I wish I had. OOH I want a dog. I want a dog soooo bad. I LOVE dogs. In the May 08 issue of Teen Vogue with Ellen Page (she’s so cute by the way), there are these little husky puppies in the shoot with her. The first thing I thought was, wow their eyes are SO amaaaaaazing. I could drown in the icy blue hue of their eyes. It’s like an ocean. You cant really see it in the picture though. You have to zoom in. Oh and also, their fur is soo white and clean. Its beautiful. And they’re just so adorable. Plus they look so huggable. I see my new best friends here. I will definitely get a husky for a pet when I grow up.

They’re so cute! Hahaha Jon and I have plans to get a dog each if we move in together (ha ha ha :D ) and so I told him I decided to get a husky like these little ones here. And he said he wants a sausage dog. they’re err called Dachshunds but the name ‘Sausage dog’ is way easier.

They’re so little. Jon, what if my husky squishes your sausage dog? or bites it. Or kills it. Muahahahaha. Jokes. If they dont like each other, I mean. Make sure your sausage dog is a boy. My husky’s gonna be a boy too. I’m sorry if my dog bites yours. It’s not my fault your dog is so tiny :) Hmm.. what colour do you want your sausage dog to be. Brown or Black? I’m fine with both cause my Husky’s fur colour matches both. Maybe I should have a room for the dogs too. HAHA. As well as my walk-in shoe closet, and my walk-in closet AND my 6carslot garage. HAHA. Cant wait. Hmm.. I wonder what I should call it.

And I’ve just realised how random I am. Ooer.

Don’t you have these moments where you just feel so lost? I think I’m having one of those. I feel so blanked out. One minute I’m laughing my socks off, next second I’m walking slowly step by step staring straight ahead or staring at my shoes. It’s so weird. I feel so bipolar. Like, BIG time.

Anyhoots, I got so ticked off today cause my dad’s gone to China for work (not cause of that) and so he calls us at night usually. And I didnt know he called so he texted me asking where we were. I was listening to music and I’m deaf when I listen to my music. In the zone man. HAHA no not really. But then both Lester and my mom are just there not listening to music but I swear they couldve and wouldve heard the phone. My downstairs phone is freaking loud. And they just sat there. what lazy asses. Then my dad texts and I had to go take a shower so I scream at lester to go pick up the fucking phone after it rings for ages. And they ask me to go get it. By this time, I’m just about to take a shower and I’m like What. The. Fuck. How lazy can you people get? ALL you do is walk downstairs and pick up the phone. I mean, if I werent feeling disgusting and needed a shower, I wouldve went to pick up the phone. Cause I, unlike my family members, would like to speak to my dad once a day when he leaves overseas. I, unlike the others, actually miss my Dad.

I’m sad that I only get to see my dad when he gets back home in the evening for work. I see my mom all the time so that doesnt matter. I hardly see my dad around. He’s got business trips, work, his badminton sessions, his drink outings with both Eugene/Wilson’s and Weier’s dad. I know my dad can be weird and really random and annoying occasionally (but which parent isnt) but it doesnt matter. I love my Dad.

Ookay, rant over. Rant about today now. I did quite a bit of studying today. I had to go to JPMC for my braces in the morning then rushed to school at 10 for Economics extra revision/class with Mr Holmes. It was hilarious, we did more gossiping than studying. But it was helpful. We just kept talking about the most random things. Like classic disney pixar animations. Toy Story, Bugs Life, Incredibles, Finding Nemo, Shrek. I loved Toy Story and A Bug’s Life. I used to have my Woody and Buzz toys and my Flick toy that I used to put in my room when I was younger. Gee, I missed those days. No essays, no work, just toys games and tv.

We were talking about how Ms O was telling the S class how gay people do it and then Jia min goes:

Jia Min: How do gays do it?
Amirah: Dont you know how gays do it? It’s General Knowledge!
Jia Min: No tell me!!!
Mr Holmes: Ask Nyau. He’ll know.

then later on we got really sad after talking about disney movies and the things we used to do when we were younger so Jasmine goes..

Jasmine: It’s so sad when you grow older….
Mr Holmes: Oh yeah.. You only need to know about GDP.
Everyone: WHAT?!?!

Haahaahha so random. I swear, economics is actually really fun. I love your class. *sniggersnigger* then lunch, then went to English. And sat there and did nothing. Ann, Jean and I just sat there making weird noises to disturb the silence. No one really knew what they were meant to do so we improvised. HAHA fuck, and we still had to pay $20. For one hour of writing nothing and photocopying. SIGH.

I’m tired, bye.

miserable at best.

May 15, 2008

Its so scary and so sad how all these things have happened in such a short period of time. You know what I’m talking about. The Earthquake in Sichuan China and Cyclone in Myanmar.

Lets start with the earthquake in China. It’s one powerful earthquake. 7.9 on the Richter scale. So strong that you could feel tremors in China(obviously), Bangladesh, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Macau, Mongolia, Nepal, Pakistan, Russie, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam. Buildings destroyed, millions of homes collapsed. So far, from today, there’s been 17,062 people killed and 69487 injured. By the day after the earthquake there was at least 18000 people missing. About 2000 of those people who died are students and teachers. God, they’re kids. All those fucking precious lives, those innocent lives. My mom was watching the news on the tv last night, and some Chinese government officials were standing there with so many children just crying their poor eyes out. Dead parents, no home, no food, no school, no money. Nothing with them. The officials were saying ‘I know your parents are gone, but we’ll be here for you. We’ll give you a home, we’ll feed you, we’ll support you. All of us will give you money for school. Its going to be okay’. Something along those lines. And the kids just kept crying. I felt like crying myself.. And we’re all sitting here in front of our computers chatting and everything when we should be doing something. Why are so many people ignoring this issue. Imagine you losing your parents or your kids. Imagine how you would feel. Just a bit of money would make such a big difference to someone’s life. We could make that difference. I feel so relieved to think that countries and organisations have donated millions, millions each even. Countries all over the world, France, Norway, Russia. Loads.

Then there’s the cyclone. Myanmar. Least 22,000 people have died with another 40,000 over missing. The prices have shot up and that just adds on to all the troubles the people go through. There’s a huge shortage in power, drinking water and food. I just hope disease doesnt break out. It’s crazy because not so long ago, there was the protest and demonstrations by the monks in Myanmar. The poor monks. I went to Arthur’s house this afternoon to pick him up and drove past the Embassy of Myanmar. There were boxes and boxes and loads of cars inside. Boxes and boxes of food. I’m happy to see that Brunei’s helping. Oh and by the way ISB sent out a letter recently about sending donations, clothes, supplies or books to the people in Myanmar. So guys help out and hand in things to Mrs C’s office (according to the letter). I’m sure you all have things that you dont use anymore. I know I do.

I just imagine all those kids who are just sitting in the dark, in dirty grimmy clothes, so vulnerable to disease, starving their little tummies, no shelter, out in the open. And not just kids, adults, the seniors, teenagers our age. And even with all that already on their shoulders, they’re crying and heartbroken over their losses. All those conditions they’re living in doesnt matter compared to what they’ve lost. Who they’ve lost. It’s so stupid cause we’re all sitting here with a home, food that we waste, water that we use up like crazy and electricity. An aircon, a tv, a bed. I know I’m sitting here too but I’m gonna do whatever I can do to help. Donate, anything. I hope you guys will too.
