I’VE FOUND NEW YORK FRIES IN HONGKONG <3
Holy bejeezus - nostalgic pause – that dare I had to do where I had to drink the cheese that you’re meant to dip the fries in. Omg I felt so sick after. It’s at Harbour City in Tsim Sha Tsui, I spotted it last week and still haven’t the time to drop by again. Ooh and if you sit outside, here’s your view.

the sunlight was blinding
AND I found Mountain Dew! I havent drank that in YEARS, I loved getting unlimited refills of that at Costco. Ooh also, strangely I haven’t been to Hoi Lau Shan yet.
I made a very successful trip to the bookstore in Kowloon Tong today. I am now a member and I bought 6 books. 3 of them are classics (Bronte sisters and Jane Austen) to keep my own copies and the other 3 are just the usual. I wanted to get ‘Twenties Girl’ by Sophie Kinsella coz I’ve got all her books anyway but it was a bit pricey so I decided to wait til the next visit. Although the fact that I couldn’t find the Georgia Nicholson book ‘Stop In The Name Of Pants’ burst my bubble :(
I’m hungry again, so I’m going off to tend to my appetite.
unbearably fond

Hello hello!
I’m still in hongkers and since my dad and brother came a while ago, they (conveniently) brought the laptop so I have access to the internet
its such a relief as well. In a way it’s a relief that I’m finally getting back to Bruneian ground and yet, I want to stay here! Maybe actually LIVE here for a bit. Yknow, work in the summer or something.
Haha there’s so many people around the entire Kowloon area, its insane. The number of people in every MTR station and train must be around Brunei’s population or more. Oh oh oh, im going to miss the food SO much! I’m off to eat seafood in this place and the food is beyond belief, SO orgasmic.

like this for instance. the melted chocolate on the inside was the PERFECT finish.

omg cheap delicious steaks in Tsuen Wan in HUGE portions with soup, salad, bread, a drink and dessert all going with it.
Hehe anyway, I’ve realised how I cant help but make remarks whenever someone speaks english with a chinky accent. How bitchy right? hahaha I’m certain they snigger when I pull out my canto anyway.
OK I’m going out now. Byeee
time for breakfast

Oh oh this is disgusting btw. Just two things that caught my eye on thisiswhyyourefat.com. It either banishes your appetite or makes you feel kinda hungry (in a really sick and peculiar way).

the buns are krispy kreme's doughnuts. why you'd even WANT to do that, i really have no idea.

Snickers Bar Pancake – Three buttermilk pancakes topped with chocolate syrup, caramel, peanuts and whipped cream. Doesn’t look too bad, I would actually try it. It looks excruciatingly sweet but haha just a bite maybe!

'Tempura Burger', kinda dodgy haha

holy bejeeeeeezus.
I’m quite speechless about the last one. Haha
‘Be brave like my mother’

Dood what the fuck has gone wrong with my internet!
Anyway, mini movie marathon today. Public Enemies first then Harry Potter after. Great thing about watching it at Empire was that it was so much emptier, guarantee of great seats
but its so much colder, my toes nearly froze off. Ok, Public Enemies was not bad, pretty good actually. It wasn’t WOW or anything but how can you not like a movie with Johnny Depp and Christian Bale in it! Oh oh oh they both looked so pretty.
And its so dumb how Channing Tatum only appeared for like what.. two minutes? Not that Im bonkers about him or anything, but I expected he had much more to do in the movie. Hahah ‘Pretty Boy Floyd’, what a name. I didn’t expect it to be THAT long, I kept thinking ‘Ooh crap he’s going to die now, John Dilinger is going to die now’ then he doesnt. WTF?! But its okay. It was awfully sad when he cried, made me want to cry with him too. Share the pain – ‘empathize’ HAHA k. No.
Harryyy Potterrrr. They cut so many bits out! I mean, they always do that but still we didn’t even see much of what the book was really about. So if there was someone who saw the movie first, then read the book after, it would make so much more sense. But this one was better than the last few HP movies though
the 5th one was horrible, it really sucked. Of course you can’t compare the movie with the book but it wasn’t too bad – I wouldn’t exactly call it mediocre but I wouldn’t give a thumbs up either. So in the middle
Cormac McLaggen was quite cute actually! But he was so sleazy hahaha but it was quite funny, like at the Slug Club dinner.
I kept sniggering at a few serious moments though, I dont know why. Hhahaha it mustve been so irritating. Like the post title when Harry was talking to Professor Slughorn. ‘Be brave professor, be brave like my mother’ HAHA honestly im sure it isnt funny but eeesshh have no idea. Slap me or something. Sigh I miss the old Dumbledore. The first one. So sad that he died. R.I.P #1 Dumbledore..
Oh but I loved the scarf that Hermione was wearing during the Quidditch Match though! Gryffindor colours, I DEFINITELY want one of those.
Seeing them all decked out in winter clothing makes me want to dress in that sort of attire as well – scarves, hats, coats etc. Damn Brunei and its ’summer-all-year-round’ weather.
HELLS YEAH – I will be on Honky ground in less than 48 hours. ![]()
And coz I had Maltesers today at the movies, I’m replacing Krispy Kreme’s.
stand by me
July 13, 2009
Ooh I’ve also decided that I’ll keep changing the picture for the header depending on what I feel like having. So I’ll just put brands or something. Now I feel like pigging out and having Krispy Kreme’s.

Sorry Amirah, I know I’m meant to stay away from Krispy Kreme’s. HAHA I’m rather proud of myself of when I said ‘no thanks’ to the ones that Nazim brought from Melb that time
S’okay, I wont have any in HK.
will the day be bright or cloudy

It’s such a cute movie! I miss old-school Pixar, like A Bug’s Life and Toy Story. I absolutely LOVED those two movies! Oooohhh okay not only those two movies, I’m quite fond of Pixar anyway. Most of their feature films are brilliant.
So thats one movie ticked off from my list.
Next two movies that I DEFINITELY have to watch this week:
- Public Enemies – Two names: Johnny Depp and Christian Bale. Need I say more?
- Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

I’ve been watching tons of clips and things from the movie itself and they look not too bad! I’ve got high expectations for this one. It looks a lot better than the rest. Plan is to watch it on Thursday with the others, movie marathon! Otherwise I’m going to watch it in HK. Aisshh screw honky and its expensive movie tickets.
I JUST watched Iron Man today. I can’t believe I haven’t watched that movie before today. It’s soo goood. Jebus I wish I watched it in the cinemas. Trips always fall on the worst times! It means that I miss them when they comes out, then the weekend after I’m busy or something like that.
Yayyyyy, off to Honky on Sunday!
I can’t freaking wait. I need to do SOO much shopping. I want things that I can just throw on, so lazy to dress up nowadays. So lazy to think about what I’m going to wear. I’m going to bring Wuthering Heights with me, so the guilt inside me can ease just a little. And maybe my EE stuff. It’ll be a way to convince myself think that I’m not being 100% unproductive.
GOOD FOOD, HERE I COME.
lets break into the birthday song again for elaine
July 12, 2009
Had Capers for dinner last night for Elaine’s little birthday thing
Oh my god it was packed there last night. And sooooooooooooo much food. Ok I would elaborate a tiny bit more but my mind’s very lazy right now. Holiday mode. And it’ll explain the lack of photo captions. So pictures!
do you know?

Since I’ve finally got the time, I’ve been watching Korean shows again. Sort of an exercise to refresh the memory, you could call it.
For the past.. 3 days, I’ve watched Boys Before Flowers for the 3rd time. Ooh Lee Min Ho <3 I feel like he needs to be mentioned today, coz I haven’t mentioned him at all.
There’s two koreans that I absolutely love and will always be in my top 5 list.
Ok first, Lee Min Ho. He’s brilliant in the show, I love him. Sooo dishyy.

in the show he's gu jun pyooooo

Leee Min Ho
Second, Dennis Oh. Oh holy bejeeeeeeeezus I love this guy.

how hot is he, and he's eurasian!

he's incredibly mind-scrambling-ly pretttyyyy.
And he has the same birthday as I do. HAHA and all of a sudden, I have this urge to go to KL to get Jae Chul and Jae Hun to teach me Korean. I thought Lee Dong Wook was cute too actually, especially in My Girl. But still – Dennis Oh and Lee Min Ho
mmmmmmmm
I’ve been staying away from the internet more than usual. And I really don’t know why. So since my blog has been quiet, I’ll just post every once in a while. Or once in a few days or something. I plan to really catch up on a lot of things
The Hollis’ are gonee
1. No last-week-of-the-year feeling. It’s our last week of school damnit. Just the feeling of knowing that we’re on our last week of year12. Anticipation for the summer. Excitement – we finally get a break. Nervous because after this week we’re no longer year12s but SENIORS. Euphoria that we’ve only got one more year to go.
2. No Last day of term Assembly.
3. No proper goodbyes to all the teachers that are leaving
and there were so many!
4. No last day of school year. It was brought on us so suddenly, the schools out thing. I love last days of school, everyone’s so chummy with one another and everyone’s giving everyone hugs, wishing each other a lovely summer and envying or looking forward to trips and plans.
5. All those class parties we were going to have!
6. I now have no idea when that damn bio trip to Temburong is.
7. I could’ve saved myself some homework. E.g. Geo, one big part of it was meant to be finished during school this week. Now I’ve got more frickin’ work which means more procrastination.
8. Now that school’s ended, they cleared our lockers and we have to go all the way to school just to pick up the biggest fattest and heaviest plastic bag i’ve ever seen – filled with ALL our books.
9. Also forced to make small visits to school just for the tiniest thing. Like collect a frickin’ form.
10. SO MANY GOD-DAMN LOOSE ENDS TO TIE.
coz she doesn’t get your humour like i do
